What’s Included
Performance is amazing—games load fast, graphics are beautiful, and everything runs smooth. The DualSense controller is still one of my favorite parts: the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make gameplay feel so immersive.
It’s also pretty quiet compared to older PlayStations I’ve owned, and the storage upgrade option makes it flexible for downloading more games.
Overall, the PS5 Slim feels like the best version of the console yet: sleek, powerful, and future-proof. Totally worth it if you’ve been waiting to upgrade or finally jump into next-gen gaming.
The controller also works very well.
My major complaint is the stock ssd is pitiful at 1TB which 200+GB is used for system storage software. My understanding is that M2 SSDs keep coming down in price but yet the console manages to going up in price. My second complaint is the price. If the ps5 pro wasn't so expensive, I would have considered purchasing it. Thank fully the trade in for my ps4 helped bring down the price. If it wasn't for the trade in offer, I might have waited on the ps6.
Only downside is the storage, and needing to get an external drive or swap internally to hold more. But games are so heavy now, it’s not surprising
If you're in the market for a next-gen console but don't need the bulk of the original PS5, the Slim is definitely worth considering.
The graphics and performance are jaw-dropping. With its 4K capabilities and ray tracing, games look unbelievably realistic, immersing you in detailed worlds like never before. The fast load times, thanks to the SSD, are a game-changer. I barely have time to grab a drink before I’m in the middle of the action—no more endless loading screens!
The DualSense controller is another standout feature. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make every game feel unique, whether you're pulling back a bowstring in Horizon Forbidden West or feeling the tension of the track in Gran Turismo 7. It’s incredibly immersive and enhances the gameplay in ways I didn’t think were possible.
The design of the PS5 is sleek and futuristic, though it’s definitely larger than previous consoles. It fits well in my setup, and the silent operation is a huge plus—no more loud fans during intense gaming sessions.
One of my favorite features is the backward compatibility with PS4 games. I can replay my favorite titles with enhanced graphics and smoother performance. The PlayStation Plus library is also packed with amazing games, giving me endless options.
If there’s one minor drawback, it’s the storage space. While the SSD is fast, the 825GB fills up quickly with large game files, so I’d recommend getting an external drive or upgrading the storage.
Overall, the PS5 is worth every penny. It’s not just a gaming console—it’s an entertainment system that delivers unmatched performance, immersive gameplay, and a glimpse into the future of gaming.
Setup was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions and fast connectivity. I noticed quieter operation compared to my old PS4, which adds to the premium feel. Gameplay is seamless, with jaw-dropping graphics and fast load times. Titles like *Horizon Forbidden West* and *Final Fantasy XVI* have never looked better.
